All proceeds go directly to Battersea Dogs Home in London where we rescued Minton in 2005.
The fund aims to raise awareness of kidney disease that is a leading cause of death in cats and dogs.
Renal failure is largely caused by diet or ageing (chronic) or exposure to harmful environmental factors (acute) like leptospirosis, poisons, toxic foods for the species etc. It is extremely difficult to diagnose because symptoms don't appear until kidney function is over 2/3 gone.
At this point, survival rate is around 60% (with treatment).
